Church-wide study: THE STORY
This fall at BSBC we’ll embark on a study that is meant to help people see the big picture. The Bible is a big volume containing 66 books. In studying Scripture, we tend to take it a book and a chapter at a time.
THE STORY is a ‘novel’ made up of verses selected from the Bible, knit together to take us on a journey from the first verses of Genesis to the final verses of Revelation. THE STORY strives to bring us God’s story and our story together in a powerful way that leads us to deeper faith and involves all ages.
There’s a place for everyone! Preschoolers, elementary, youth and adults will all be studying THE STORY. No age is left out – which fits perfectly with the story of a loving God who doesn’t want anyone left out!
So, how do you get involved?
Adults of all ages are invited to purchase a copy of the original book, THE STORY, for personal reading at home. Like other editions, this study includes 31 chapters taking us through Genesis to Revelation.
Small groups are encouraged to engage in THE STORY by using the study guide and video teaching sessions to engage in discussion. This material will also be used in an adult Sunday School elective and with a group offered on Wednesday nights.
Looking for more info or want to get involved with a small group? Our Elementary Children & Church Family Life Coordinator, Denise would be happy to help! Get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Starting Sunday, Sept. 9 at 9:30 a.m. we invite you to grow in your faith by joining with other adults to study together. There’s a class for everyone!
